Korean Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS 


KNP+ was founded in 2012, as a non-profit organization representing peer groups and individuals affected by the epidemic. 

Our goal is to advocate human rights of PLHIVs, to live with dignity and health, enjoy more life chances without fear of social discrimination. 

Along with psycho-social support to the most affected people, we try to build vibrant community and empower our constituencies to address stigma effectively.

  • Brief History
  •    - KNP+ began as an association of PLHIV communities.
  •    - Since 2015, run an independent meeting space for POS people.
  •    - Starting from 2016, is participating as a member organization of HIV/AIDS Human Rights Activist Network in Korea.
  •    - In 2016, conducted the PLHIV Stigma Index Study.
  •    - In 2016, participated in the Research Project on the discriminatory practices in the medical settings against HIV patients. (The National Human Rights Commission of Korea)
  •    - In 2019, participated in the Research Project on the development of nursing care for HIV/AIDS people. (KCDC)
  •    - Since 2021, launched the community-based care program focusing on the needs of PLHIVs.


KNP+ is a member organization of APN+, Asia Pacific Network of People Living with HIV.
